OUR STORY

Our journey began back in 2017 in Bundaberg, QLD, when Mandy and Zachary Dexter launched Independent Support Management (ISM). What started as a small Support Coordination service soon pivoted and grew into a nation-wide plan management provider. As a family-owned and operated business, our foundation has always been built on relationships, integrity, and genuine care for the communities we serve.

In 2023, Mandy and Alanna, an aunt and niece duo, recognised a growing need for therapeutic services in Central Queensland. With Mandy practicing as a psychologist and holding a long-held dream of opening her own therapy centre, and Alanna’s passion for business development, the ISM Therapy Centre was created. From the very beginning, we’ve been committed to spotting gaps in our community and finding thoughtful, heartfelt ways to fill them so more people can access the support they deserve.

This brings us to 2025, when we embraced a fresh new chapter. We underwent a full rebrand and stepped out independently from ISM. We wanted a name that truly reflected who we are and what we do, and that’s how Your Therapy Place came to life.

Today, we’re proud to be a family-owned business offering a friendly, welcoming space where clients can access psychology, counselling, occupational therapy, speech pathology, positive behaviour support, allied health assistants, and a variety of assessments.
